It’s a great time to fish the Bighorn. Mostly clear days and above average daily temperatures (highs in the mid 30s-40s, with only occasional wind) makes for a great day on the water. Water temperatures have been in the upper 30s, with low, clear water, perfect for nymphing. Fishing has been good along the entire river, with hungry fish ranging from 10-24". Fish pink and orange sowbugs, scuds, & Ray Charles, San Juan worms, and midge pupa. Looking toward the 2021 season, we expect another great fishing year as the snowpack has remained relatively low. If last season is any indicator, expect great fishing with big fish 22+" just waiting for you. |
